JOHN JOSEPH MONTAGUENovember 18, 1917 to October 9, 1979John was a tall, handsome man with a magnetic personality. He loved life and all the people he came in contact with. He especially loved me. I was his princess and his precious daughter who he called "Mike". He was a wonderful grandfather to my sons. He had always wanted a son and was so excited when I had sons for him to spoil. He loved to tell tales of his time on the Boston Police force and his time on the MBTA. People loved his stories. Unfortunately, John had a disease, it is called Alcoholism. Toward the end of his life it took it's toll on his body. He died of a massive coronary one morning in his home. His brother, Larry, (also a Boston Police Officer) found him when he went there for their usual morning coffee get-together.
I think about you often Daddy and love you,

Clifton G. "Clif" HowardOctober 26, 1931 to January 16, 1998.Clif was a career military man. He was a veteran of Korea, and two tours in Vietnam. He never quite found his niche in the civilian world, but he sure had some incredible stories! I bet he's leaning out of the door of a Huey in Heaven. He loved his family more than anything. Unfortunately, despite their
urging, he waited too long to see a doctor, and we lost him to Lung cancer
5 months after his diagnosis.
Clif was an avid football fan. He missed watching his beloved Broncos
win the 1998 Superbowl by only 2 weeks, but he was delighted to know they
were going. In fact, he was wearing a Broncos AFC championship sweatshirt
when he left us. Maybe they had some help from him as well!
On Valentine's day, we discovered we were expecting Clif's 7th grandchild, his first by his son. His name is Andrew Clifton, and he has his grandfather's hands. I just wish they'd had a chance to meet. As hard as it is to be without Clif, we have a constant reminder of him in his namesake, and we know he's watching over all of us as a guardian angel. We miss you, and will forever love you. We will always keep you alive through pictures and stories and little things we do. Andrew will know what a good man you were, and how much you meant to all of us.
Love,
