                  David Wayne Parker, Sr.

                 December 2, 1947  to  February 3, 1969

Department of the Army, Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol.   Sergeant David Wayne Parker, Sr. was reported missing on February 3, 1969.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and son who is missed by all.  At the age of sixteen, in May of  1975, his son wrote the following as a memorial tribute to his father:

"Perhaps you may have heard of me, I was one who went to  fight.Who stood up for America's Liberty.  Am I alone in my plight?Perhaps you may have seen me, As I left on buses and trains. To help another country be free, Marching across foreign plains.Perhaps you may have read about me In newspapers I have been. I was the hero of the day, Until everything was proclaimed "NO WIN".  Perhaps you may have talked about me with neighbors and with friends.  I wonder if you realize, I still can't see an end. Perhaps you may have heard of me,Perhaps you may have . . ..forgotten."

                      Walter Randolph Harris

                      August 9, 1916  to  March 9, 1968

Walter was a hard working man.  A coal miner from West Virginia.  Nothing came easy for him.  He had to drop out of school in the fourth grade to go work in the mines.

Despite his hardships, he was a loving man.  He was a wonderful father and grandfather to his first grandchild.  She was just five months old when he died.

Walter died of the effects of alcoholism and Cancer at the young age of 52.  I believe he is with me everyday, watching over me and is so proud of what I have accomplished in life.   I feel he will be waiting for me with his arms open wide when it is my time to cross over to the other side.

                             Your loving daughter,
                                       Pamela

                           Beverly Crowley

                   January 12, 1947  to  April 6, 1998

Bev was a loving, caring and dedicated person.  She loved other people and making them happy.  She was a respected Geocities Hot Springs Community Leader who was always more than willing to go the extra mile for anyone who needed her help.

Beverly died suddenly and of natural causes.  Her husband kept her breathing until the EMT's came but despite his valliant efforts, she died just as the EMT's arrived.

She lived by the motto she kept on her web page:  "Be good to yourself, be better to your friends, and hug the ones you love".

You are loved and missed by countless people from all over the world.  Because of you, the web is a better place.  Thank you for coming into our lives, into the cyber world, and making a difference.

You are the birth mother that I never had the chance to physically meet.  I have always felt a part of you and you a part of me.  I believe I was just out of high school when you passed into another form.  I just was not ready nor did I have the courage to find you then.

I want you to know that I am no longer the only child I was growing up.  I have found a loving half-sister.  She brings me such joy and love and this is so exciting!  I have found two half brothers as well.  I am just begining to explore my roots to my biological father's family and anticipate finding many more loving family members.

Mother, I send you love and flowers on this
                           day of memorial
